16 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS
For the Foo Fighters’ One by One, Nick Raskulinecz received a Grammy for the best rock album and a track from that very same album, All My Life, was also awarded a Grammy for the best hard-rock song. So far Nick has received a fantastic 16 Grammy nominations and on three occasions has picked up the award. This means he knows what he’s talking about and when he talks about a product he chooses his words carefully. And now he has spoken about the Axe-Fx II:

"I’ve been working with it for about a year now and it’s pretty awesome."

The following video shows Nick talking in detail about his experience with the Axe-Fx II:

HEARD IT ALL BEFORE...
The following quote sounds very familiar for us, as many of our customers write to us with similar comments. However, it does make us very pleased indeed to hear something like this directly from such a successful producer.

"It sounds great, very powerful. It’s really fast, very touchy, and it really feels like you're playing though an amp. I've never quite had that experience with any other sort of box."

IMPOSSIBLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE
And Nick really does have the opportunity for comparison:

"Owning a good percentage of the amount of amps in the Fractal, it's pretty unbelievable to me how next to the real thing it is"

"In a blindfold eyes test it's almost impossible to tell which is which.."

And his praise doesn’t stop there:

"To me, that's never happened before. There is no other box out there or product or whatever that has ever even come close."

"It sounds great, it's very powerful, it's by far the best sounding amp simulator/modeling technology that I have ever heard, for sure."

THE DEFTONES CHOICE
The 'Deftones' current CD Koi No Yokan wsa recorded and produced by Nick Raskulinecz:

"On that particular record there are no amps. That entire album is Fractal. Every note of guitar."

Nick then goes on to explain how the guitar sounds came about. How Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter decided he wanted the guitars to sound exactly like they had on a previous album and how the combination of master tapes and the amazing Tone-Matching process made it all possible and – boom! – the results were shocking (but in a good way!).

NICKS CONCLUSION: THE BEST-SOUND BOX
"I think it's by far the most powerful, best sounding box out there for sure. There is no question in my mind.”

And his final words: “If it wasn't what it is, with the quality that it is, with the level expectation that it delivers, it wouldn't be in this room next to all those amps. Period.”
