ALL THIS WAS NOTHING AGAINST THE AXE-FX - IT MAKES ME REALLY HAPPY 

Hello Jacques;
I have had an Axe FX II for about a year now. It is connected to an Engl 2 x 50 watt power amplifier. I have 2 4x12" Marshall boxes connected to it. The ones with the greenbacks. And what can I say? I will never play anything else again. It's hard to imagine that it could be any better. But that's how it seems to be. That's why I want the Axe FX 3 Turbo so bad. Over the years, I've had just about all the big-name stuff. None of that was anything compared to the Axe FX. It makes me really happy. And I can't stop playing. So, now I hope to have the FX III soon, and the floor pedal to go with it.

Yesterday my FM3 arrived safely packed. On top of all the joy that I finally had the device in my hands, I would also like to say how pleased I was with the whole process.

As the sales manager of a large agency, I can judge that kind of thing very well. Beginning with the personally addressed e-mails and the positive statements about the FM3, from the word go it all feels very special. Furthermore, everything was delivered as promised and you can really rely on everything working out, while always being aware of all the order steps. Cool.

Then yesterday the package arrived with a very nice covering letter, with chocolate and a G66 T-shirt. I was thrilled about that too. You also included the latest software. Hats off to you.

All in all, it’s been a great shopping experience at G66. I was so impressed that I also spoke to our marketing department and our managing director here at Greven Medien GmbH about this positive experience and would like us to take a leaf out of your customer service book.

EXTREMELY WELL-EQUIPPED GUITAR SHOP FOR ME ALONE – REALLY GENIAL!

Simply unbelievably good! I've been enjoying the fantastic sound in the rehearsal room for 4 hours.

The FM3 is very easy to use (I can't understand the reviews on the net, it couldn't be simpler and more flexible): Pick amp and cap, add a bit of reverb, tremolo in front of the amp, an analogue delay behind it, a drive in front of it, gate between amp and cap, EQ behind it, a bit of treble off, a bit less bass, add a phaser. What can I say? Within half an hour I had such a grandiose setup with 6 scenes that I've been enjoying it ever since and can't get enough of playing.

I just turned on the MF.10 (with ear protection) (output at +4 dBu). What a riot! I think that should really be enough volume reserves for any situation. I'm flabbergasted...

For the next few weeks I'll have to "rummage" through the range of amplifiers and caps ;-) I feel like I have an extremely well-equipped guitar shop all to myself. Really ingenious!

Thanks for the checkup and the update. The box is running perfectly! By the way, the cooler hasn't started up once in the 4 hours (or so quietly that I didn't hear it during the breaks in playing). Here are a few impressions and greetings from the rehearsal room.

Sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you. Many thanks for the Axe-Fx III.

First off I need to explain: I’ve been playing the guitar for 32 years, so I grew up with tube amps. In December last year my Marshall JVM410HJS gave up the ghost. As getting it repaired is kind of difficult just now, I had to fall back on my FX2, which up to now had just been used in the effects loop of the Marshall. I had never bothered to check out the amps or cabs. Then I started experimenting and what I managed to achieve made me very curious.

Soon I was convinced that I needed an FX3!!! Just unpacking it was a pleasure and I felt like a little kid ? The packet of Merci was a nice surprise! A very high-quality product, lovingly packed!

After a month of exhaustive testing and experimentation I’m 100% convinced about the FX3 and don’t miss my Marshall in the least! I can recommend the FX3 to anyone. I’ve even gone so far as to put my name on the waiting list for an FM3 and I very much hope it will be deliverable soon.

I can’t wait ? Whatever happens, kudos to you all and keep up the good work, also with the tutorials, which I have found very helpful, especially those from Bernd Kiltz and Marco Fanton.

MY GUITARS NOW SOUND BETTER AND THAT INSPIRES ME TO PLAY MORE AND BETTER

Just want to thank you! Your handling of my purchase of the FM3 has been a pleasure. It took some time for you to get the units to stock but that's not your fault. When they were delayed a couple of days you let me know by email. I appreciate that. When you got the units you sent me the paying details and 4 days after my payment I had the unit delivered. One or two of these days must have been bank business, so very fast delivery. 

The FM3 itself is a fantastic piece of gear. Sounds much better than the previous modelers I have tried. (Headrush, Line6 Helix LT and Ampero One). The factory sounds in the FM3 are 90% nice sounding to me, whereas on all the other units it was the other way around, 90% crap!

One more thing: my FM3 came with the latest 4.0 Cygnus firmware that was just recently released. That was really impressive customer support! 

I could go on with how my guitars now sound better than I thought was possible and how that inspires me to play more and better, but I'm sure you have heard that before. ??????

Yes, I am totally thrilled... I've actually always been on the road with analogue. I don't notice any difference anymore. I've already been through a few things: HX Stomp, I have a Kemper here, but somehow I always miss something that my amps give me (Friedman and Morgan). With the FM3 it’s different: a much more transparent sound, logically structured despite its complexity and not that difficult to configure. I compared the FM3 Smallbox amp with my real Smallbox 50 earlier and the sound is spot-on. The Kemper couldn't capture this amp, the FM3 does.

I didn't think I'd be won over by this thing so quickly. Finally, proper mobile recording! :)

It has arrived in one piece and my wife has been grumbling since last night, owing to the fact that after opening the box and provisionally connecting two K&H MM201s, her husband has been squatting between the box and the dining room table and obviously no longer wants to take part in the general life of this house! Something like that, anyway... I'll keep it short:

Out of this world, phenomenally authentic and full of surprises.

A “FUTURE CLASSIC”

­I am stag­gered by the a­mount of sonic possi­bili­ties that the unit offers, the range of amp­lifier models/­effects/­speaker cab impulse respon­ses is massive and not one piece of emulated equip­ment is any­thing less than superb and to add up the cost of buy­ing the range of model­led equip­ment in hard­ware would be…­more money than you can shake a stick at ? Buy one.

Sell your car/­dog/­grandma/­grandad, all your old amp­lifiers that need re-­valving etc., and if you are not com­pletely and ut­terly bemused by the bril­liance of the AXE FX3, well then you did way too much head­bang­ing in the 60’s/­70’s/­80’s.I took a huge gamble in pur­chasing a new AXE FX3 unit as I was origin­ally shoot­ing for a Mesa Triple Crown rack unit for record­ing pur­poses due to the emulated speaker out­puts on the TC. However, having re­search­ed the AXE FX3 and been suitably im­press­ed by on-line re­views and You Tube videos etc., I de­cided that al­though even MORE ex­pen­sive than a Mesa TC (!!!) the AXE FX3 would offer more function­ali­ty for my home project studio… ­I was not wrong: 

The AXE FX3 is quite simply stunning, in every depart­ment: build quality/­sound quality/­ease of use/­natural “feel”, this unit excels and if I had the same choice again between the AXE FX3 and the Mesa Triple Crown, there would be no compet­ition, de­finitely AXE FX3.

G66.EU have provided ex­cellent service, I bought on-line with no dif­ficulties and the after sales service has been ex­cellent also. All in all, it is really diffi­cult to en­visage that AXE FX3 will ever be beaten and it is cer­tainly de­stined to become a “future classic” and as such should hold value well and be a sound in­vest­ment for any dis­cerning musician serious about the music they wish to create-­AXE FX3 is the best tool available cer­tainly for recording all types of electric guitars/bass guitars but can also be used as a multi-­purpose effects processor in any studio.

This thing really is unbelievably good. A huge step forward:

The new dimensions compared to the previous model are very convenient for me personally. Less depth is extremely advantageous for transport and constant stage use. In my perfectly fitting case, the AxeFX3 is much more compact and easier to handle than its predecessor.

The quality of the components, the countless inputs and outputs, the new interface, the larger colour display, more intuitive operation, new editor software and much more. - Simply a huge step forward in every respect.

And finally, the most important thing - the sound! The sound quality is still improving with every new firmware. The new, more powerful processors combined with Cliff's tireless and never-ending innovations, ideas and brainstorms ensure that the Axe Fx3 is and remains unrivalled. No matter how big or small the gig, the sound is always right and it always sounds equally GOOD!!!

Summary: The new AXE-FX3 is the perfect tool for me - with minimal effort and only one device I get an official and reliable live and studio sound. Haven't owned an amp since the first Axe and now it's definitely reached the point where you don't need a 'real' amp anymore. Thanks for this.

With the Axe III, Cliff has finally ushered in a new era that is comparable to the change from analogue to digital photography. My benchmarkS are the old Fender amps, which are so authentic here that I can't distinguish them from vintage amps with the best will in the world. And just try finding a Marshall 100 at that level in real life. That's as far as I've got, what a treasure trove of dream amps!

Thanks also for the nice goodies. I'll feed the chocolate to my students on Friday, dressed in my new favourite T-shirt!

• - absolutely brilliant unit (sound & features are terrific)
• - perfect "all in one" device ( = sound & recording centre)
• - the best Axe-FX "format design" ever (3U and only 290mm deep)
• - visually a gem (with a super colour display)
• - handling: outstanding (much more user-friendly than previous models)

... a really worthwhile purchase, the best unit on the effects and modelling market!

As you know, enthusiasm for a product can have many different causes. It can come from the product itself or from the service. What I have experienced over the last two days is something I have never experienced before.
