If you really remember me and this is not just a copy-paste answer, I am very happy about that :-) To this day, I am always amazed by the great sound and the excellent effects of the Axe-Fx II. I don't think there is anything comparable anywhere in the world. Thanks to Fractal Audio, my search for the Holy Grail of guitar sound had come to an end.

Now I'm all tingly and can hardly wait to unpack the new FM3 and fire it up.

The reason I haven't contacted you yet is that I'm up to my ears in FX III ;-) . Apart from the fact that everything has arrived in one piece and is working, I would like to tell you that I am thrilled ... even more:

I am overwhelmed!   I was already spoiled by the "Helix", but the machines from you/Fractal Audio are a completely different dimension.

First of all, I set up a few things on the "FX III" to suit my needs, adjusted the "FC-12" configuration and then, late yesterday afternoon, I started listening to the presets; I didn't get any further than no. 0030, as there are usually up to eight scenes each, but I am absolutely "blown away"!

And I also enjoyed "shopping" with you. You were very friendly and patient with me ... thank you very much, Jacques!

So, I’ll join the chorus of the many G66/Fractal Audio enthusiasts and remain ...

"TRUE HAPPINES FOR GUITARISTS" REALLY WASN'T AN EXAGGERATION!!

Once again: congratulations on your sales approach! It really is fun to receive such a parcel with an envelope with your handwritten name on it. And then the enthusiastic letter. The quick start instructions deserve a special mention - meanwhile many have recognised the necessity for that kind of thing (with cheet sheets etc), but no-one before you has hit the nail on the head with important things being explained in a simple (but not too simple) way and without getting lost in too much detail. And the occasional reminders (look for a nice preset and play some guitar…) are the icing on the cake.

By the way, I have no idea how long I spent playing when I plugged the AXE-FX in for the first time, but it was a long time. Much longer than I actually had time for…. :-)

I'd like to take this opportunity to request a possible future update: given the huge amount of incredible and surprising presets, it would be very useful to be able to give a "like" at the touch of a button. Especially when zapping through the presets looking for a particular sound, you often stumble across something that you would like to use later, but generally have a guitar in your hands and not a pencil….!

Yes, there are favourites banks for this, but it would be good to be able to have the favourites in a big pool before sorting through them more carefully. Of course, it might well be that this function already exists and I'll discover it when I study the manual more closely…

Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that I can now part with my remaining digital and synth stompboxes, as the AXE really has everything in it. (Only the Gamechangeraudio devices will have to stay - they simply look too good and I think the PLUS functionality is already in the AXE…..?)

Unfortunately, the AXEFX will soon be disappearing into the rack at the rehearsal room and I won't be able to spend every evening exploring its possibilities on the sofa!

So, once again many thanks for the quick delivery, etc.

True happines for guitarists really wasn't an exaggeration!

SOUNDS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR FOR OVER 40 YEARS

After intensive familiarisation with this wonderful AXE FXIII system and the FC6 and FC12 controllers, I have to admit after just under 3 weeks - sensationally good, and I can realise exactly the sounds that I have been looking for for over 40 years. The money I could have saved, not to mention all the lugging around of various tube amps and 4x12 cabinets… Super classy and extremely addictive - you just can't drag yourself away. You are absolutely right - this really is a guitarist's delight - thank you for it.

Just to give you some feedback: I spend hours every day with the FX III Turbo - I'm totally in love with it! The workflow is so logical, and although very complex, absolutely flawless. I have not encountered a single bug or the like. I am glad that I spontaneously decided in favour of the "TURBO" when talking to you! I have never exceeded 65% workload at any time.

So: excellent, simply top class. It is easy to understand why the FX III Turbo is used by top musicians and in studios. I am happy to be able to work with it as a little guitar lover and amateur axe torturer.

MY GREAT EXPECTATIONS HAVE BEEN GREATLY EXCEEDED !

Thank you very much for the incredibly fast delivery and the cap that came with the T-shirt. It really made me very happy. Please excuse me for not getting back to you until now, but on the day of delivery I found out that I was going to be a father, so a few things just had to take priority at first.

First of all, I have to praise you for the incredible foresight to include a mega pack of Merci (you know how to keep women quiet ;-)).

What can I say. As an owner of Mesa Boogie, Engl and Marshall amps, all the good "modellers" of the time, Avid-Eleven Rack, Kemper and various plug-ins, I have to admit that my expectations for the AXE-FX were great, but they were vastly exceeded. I'm actually considering selling my dearly beloved Triaxis 2:90 combo from MesaBoogie and all the other stuff along with it.

The level of detail, the response, it’s as if I were playing the real amp. For me, the Triaxis has always been the holy grail as far as my tone is concerned. Over 20 years in use and it has never let me down. The AXE alone comes close to 100%. It’s only the modes of the 2:90 power amplifier that I couldn’t feel yet (Deep/Modern/half Drive) but with some time I am sure I’ll get to the same result. The possibilities in the AXE are probably given.

I won't even begin to talk about the other possibilities. It's almost unbelievable if you haven't experienced it and I'm really very fussy about sound and feel. No other modeller has ever given me this feeling.

I've been at FOH for over 20 years for many acts from small to large and have been running a small studio for over 10 years. More for nostalgic and non-profit intentions. The bands that record with me are more from the up-and-coming scene and I try to support them as much as I can and give something back to the scene here.

I bought the AXE mainly for my private pleasure, but it will make my work with the bands much easier. Anyone who has miked real boxes knows what I mean :-)

All in all, and in conclusion, many, many thanks again for the great package you have put together. Keep up the good work, that's exactly what good customer service is all about. The information that it is being checked, packed and shipped, and all that with a personal address, makes you feel a bit more important and not like just another customer.

I HAD TO CRY MY EYES OUT: SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE EXPECTED IN THIS LIFE - A MIRACLE!

Yes, so... I'm sitting here and have to write to you. I can't help it. I could cry (and have done so).

To my great surprise, I actually managed to get the FM 3 to sound right through my two Ethos overdrive amps. Tried all the presets, at first hypersceptical (I can hear fleas coughing and.... yes, fleas coughing, whoever says otherwise has no idea), then more and more relaxed, found great clean sounds, on the other hand Bludotone is absolutely great for me. And I'm still only scratching the surface of the possibilities.

I went straight into the guitar inputs after everything else sounded more than suboptimal (FX Return etc.). Not much clipping, I can turn off the bass on the amps anyway. And then something happened that I never expected to happen in this life. For me it's a miracle. God knows I've played and tried out a lot in my life.

My best sound 25 years ago an old Blade Telecaster in a universe!!! solid state Hi-Fi amp with homemade cable, Tube Screamer TS 10, Ibanez Delay, nothing else. Pick-sensitive, nothing sounded like Hi-Fi, tight bass, great clean sounds, never sounded like solid state. Solo it sounded like a mixture of Santana and Dumble (although the term was completely foreign to me at the time). Simply divine. By the way, only with zinc-carbon batteries in the tube screamer, if they weren't in, the sound was almost gone.

And I wasn't the only one who found it divine. I have never been able to reproduce this sound since.

And today, I am still completely stunned... actually speechless and struck to the core...so I go to preset 73 (ODS HRM Hot Touch), bridge pickup and immediately, instantly get goosebumps. There it is. The sound. Without changing anything. With a light touch a David Lindley sound, with more touch Robben Ford (Talk to your daughter, Cannonball Shuffle, depending on the picking). As I said, I am completely stunned. Even if all the rest of the presets were unusable for me, I would have to keep the thing. I am shocked... Like a dream. It's certainly partly a happy interaction of the FM 3 and the rather improper use (Ethos Amp instrument input, modelling and cabs not switched off), but strangely enough it doesn't make noise like before, even without the humbuster. The overall sound is even better than it was back then. I've been noodling for 4 hours now ;)

FM3 Edit and Fractal Bot also work and now I'm blissfully going to sleep and dreaming of Alexander Dumble; who is surrounded by lots of good-looking girls. God rest his soul and yours.

As you know, enthusiasm for a product can have many different causes. It can come from the product itself or from the service. What I have experienced over the last two days is something I have never experienced before. Markus taught me the first real steps with the FX III through his competent (but above all his patient) manner. Jacques, thank you very much for your extension of the money-back guarantee. However, I will not have to make use of it. Markus has promised me his continued help. We will meet in person at the end of October to further explore the FXIII :-).

A “FUTURE CLASSIC”

­I am stag­gered by the a­mount of sonic possi­bili­ties that the unit offers, the range of amp­lifier models/­effects/­speaker cab impulse respon­ses is massive and not one piece of emulated equip­ment is any­thing less than superb and to add up the cost of buy­ing the range of model­led equip­ment in hard­ware would be…­more money than you can shake a stick at ? Buy one.

Sell your car/­dog/­grandma/­grandad, all your old amp­lifiers that need re-­valving etc., and if you are not com­pletely and ut­terly bemused by the bril­liance of the AXE FX3, well then you did way too much head­bang­ing in the 60’s/­70’s/­80’s.I took a huge gamble in pur­chasing a new AXE FX3 unit as I was origin­ally shoot­ing for a Mesa Triple Crown rack unit for record­ing pur­poses due to the emulated speaker out­puts on the TC. However, having re­search­ed the AXE FX3 and been suitably im­press­ed by on-line re­views and You Tube videos etc., I de­cided that al­though even MORE ex­pen­sive than a Mesa TC (!!!) the AXE FX3 would offer more function­ali­ty for my home project studio… ­I was not wrong: 

The AXE FX3 is quite simply stunning, in every depart­ment: build quality/­sound quality/­ease of use/­natural “feel”, this unit excels and if I had the same choice again between the AXE FX3 and the Mesa Triple Crown, there would be no compet­ition, de­finitely AXE FX3.

G66.EU have provided ex­cellent service, I bought on-line with no dif­ficulties and the after sales service has been ex­cellent also. All in all, it is really diffi­cult to en­visage that AXE FX3 will ever be beaten and it is cer­tainly de­stined to become a “future classic” and as such should hold value well and be a sound in­vest­ment for any dis­cerning musician serious about the music they wish to create-­AXE FX3 is the best tool available cer­tainly for recording all types of electric guitars/bass guitars but can also be used as a multi-­purpose effects processor in any studio.

WHAT A TREASURE TROVE OF DREAM AMPS!

With the Axe III, Cliff has finally ushered in a new era that is comparable to the change from analogue to digital photography. My benchmarkS are the old Fender amps, which are so authentic here that I can't distinguish them from vintage amps with the best will in the world. And just try finding a Marshall 100 at that level in real life. That's as far as I've got, what a treasure trove of dream amps!

Thanks also for the nice goodies. I'll feed the chocolate to my students on Friday, dressed in my new favourite T-shirt!

ICH MACHS KURZ - MUSS WIEDER ZU MEINEM AXE-FX III

It has arrived in one piece and my wife has been grumbling since last night, owing to the fact that after opening the box and provisionally connecting two K&H MM201s, her husband has been squatting between the box and the dining room table and obviously no longer wants to take part in the general life of this house! Something like that, anyway... I'll keep it short:

I can't get the grin off my face!
Out of this world, phenomenally authentic and full of surprises.
So, there is no time for further communication.

• - absolutely brilliant unit (sound & features are terrific)
• - perfect "all in one" device ( = sound & recording centre)
• - the best Axe-FX "format design" ever (3U and only 290mm deep)
• - visually a gem (with a super colour display)
• - handling: outstanding (much more user-friendly than previous models)

... a really worthwhile purchase, the best unit on the effects and modelling market!

PS: now only an FC-12 is missing for perfection, then I'm happy as a clam!!! ;-)

REACHED THE POINT!

This thing really is unbelievably good. A huge step forward:

The new dimensions compared to the previous model are very convenient for me personally. Less depth is extremely advantageous for transport and constant stage use. In my perfectly fitting case, the AxeFX3 is much more compact and easier to handle than its predecessor.

The quality of the components, the countless inputs and outputs, the new interface, the larger colour display, more intuitive operation, new editor software and much more. - Simply a huge step forward in every respect.

And finally, the most important thing - the sound! The sound quality is still improving with every new firmware. The new, more powerful processors combined with Cliff's tireless and never-ending innovations, ideas and brainstorms ensure that the Axe Fx3 is and remains unrivalled. No matter how big or small the gig, the sound is always right and it always sounds equally GOOD!!!

Summary: The new AXE-FX3 is the perfect tool for me - with minimal effort and only one device I get an official and reliable live and studio sound. Haven't owned an amp since the first Axe and now it's definitely reached the point where you don't need a 'real' amp anymore. Thanks for this.

Friday was the day: the Axe arrived on my doorstep, and I felt like a little kid at Christmas when I unpacked it :-)

Thank you very much for the incredibly adorable packaging with all the trimmings. It was great fun to be surprised by all the contents of the package ;-)

Well, and now for the Axe:

It sounds really great. That sparkle in the highs with the clean sounds or the awesome growl of the Recto1 Orange Modern...wow.... And there are so many other good sounding amps. It will probably take a while until I find my sounds :-)

Within a short time I found my way around the basic functions and the operation and started playing with joy (Friday and Saturday flew by :-)). Of course, the possibilities are enormous and it will probably take a while before I can fully exploit the potential for myself.

I've also tried out the Axe Edit software and really like it.
Overall, I would like to thank you and the whole team for the great service. I have always felt well looked-after and informed. I think it's great how personal the contact with you is, even if we only communicate via e-mail.

I'm very happy to be part of the Axe family now ;-)

THE GREATEST PRODUCT I EVER BOUGHT!

Hello Sussie and G66, and thank you for the greatest product I ever bought! I have played it for a couple of hours now and are absolutely stunning about this thing.

I have a couple of modified Marshall pre-amps that I thought had a good sound (they have), but this thing is killing them ;) I also have an modified JCM800, but I’m thinking about sell all that equipment now, all my Marshall’s are modified by Tommy Folkesson here in Sweden, he is a known amplifier modifier.
