THE POLARISER
 The Axe-Fx polarises and excites people like no other product has ever done. Since our launch with the twenty Countdowns last summer, various forums have been full of discussions, arguments and almost every other possible form of opinion exchange. In Germany this was primarily the case on Guitarworld and Aussensaiter.
UNBELIEVABLE NUMBERS
Last week Guitarworld reached an historical mark with an unbelievable 50,000 views of one thread. With nigh on 800 posts/replies it is a thread of these proportions has surely never been seen before either.
 HOLY GRAIL & DUBIOUS PRACTICES
Even before the first devices had been delivered there were fantastic things to hear about the Axe-Fx on Guitarworld. There was plenty of talk about the Holy Grail of modelling, the first ever 100% replication of the very best tube amps on the planet and an effects section that put the best of the best in the shade. On the other hand the Axe-Fx was simultaneously being put down with a vehemence that had to be seen to be believed and G66 were accused of indulging in shady practices. Even the writer of these lines was personally accused of making Pied Piper comments to boost sales.

PIED PIPER
If you listen to the following recorder performance by the above-mentioned importer you could be forgiven for thinking there may be some truth to the Pied Piper accusations after all. The history books tell us that the Pied Piper could be identified by his flamboyant and seemingly impossible glissando playing on the humble recorder.

EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED
After this brief excursion into the world of rat catchers and pipers, let’s get back to Guitarworld. What’s interesting is that since the first delivery of devices the discussion has become both more objective and more constructive. Opinions, advice, exchange of useful information and of course enthusiastic reviews, all of which end on the same note, namely, "Although my expectations were naturally extremely high because of the long waiting list and all the wonderful things I kept hearing about it, I have to say that the Axe-Fx really has exceeded them all." Have a look for yourself. It’s worthwhile.
